Dr. Seuss

The month of March has been scattered with Dr. Seuss events here and there and wonderful times everywhere! On March 2, students at TIMA celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday with Read Across America day. We enjoyed many Seuss books and activities and also adored our guest reader WTOC's Meteorologist John Wetherbee. Students even had the opportunity to try (and often politely spit out) green eggs and ham! It was a great day spent celebrating this icon of children's literature. Then on March 9, Kindergarten classes were able to enjoy a special presentation of the Cat in the Hat at the Tybee Library. Students loved interacting with this lively performer as the story of the cat came to life. (Thanks to Brigitte VanBaelan for photos from our library trip!)
