Author Study - Peter Brown

In the past few weeks we have been studying author and illustrator Peter Brown. We've read You Will Be My Friend and discussed ways to make friends. We revisited Brown's Caldecott Award Winning illustrations in Creepy Carrots and drew our own creepy creations. We have also taken a second look a Georgia Children's Book Award Nominee Mr. Tiger Goes Wild and learned about Brown's influences for the book's artwork. We then discussed our own influences. Next we will venture into the Curious Garden and reflect on how we can help the earth! Throughout the study we will continue to look for similarities and differences in Brown's approaches and style.
