By now you've probably noticed the "Wall of Fame" above the cubbies in our classroom. This ongoing installation piece is one of my favorite activities each year. Last week, each child had the opportunity to paint their own self portrait to add to the wall. With this, they join every student I have ever taught on the wall. I just love seeing how the kids capture themselves each year. They always do an exceptional job and it's interesting to see the features on which they focus. This year's group did a phenomenal job. Check out each child with their self-created likeness below.
The best part of the wall is the ability for students to see and be reminded of those who came before them and also to remember always friends who move away. Everyone who comes through our room will always be a part of our classroom family! The wall is a reminder of that.
