This week probably has you wondering what we do at recess on rainy, cold, or all-around yucky days. The answer is simple: Inside Recess! Inside Recess takes many forms in our classroom including play centers, movies, yoga, and other unstructured play activities.
My personal favorite and a favorite of our class is yoga. I highly recommend the Cosmic Kids Yoga YouTube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/CosmicKidsYoga). The kids love the stories and the casual presentation of the videos has won over those who were at first opposed to yoga. (They do not think they are doing yoga!)
