Bodies as Shapes

Last week was all about shapes in the environment. We hunted for shapes in the classroom. We took our hunt to the playground to find shapes there. We even made shapes with our bodies to test our knowledge of number of sides and shape formation. Check out our attempts at many common 2-D shapes.

Our first attempt - A Triangle!

This was our best guess as to how to make a circle.

Despite working hard to find students of similar heights, our square looked more like a rectangle.

This rectangle was perfect!

Another triangle!

We loved triangles! When our hexagon with six sides failed, we transformed into the two triangles above.
