Community Helper Guest Speakers

Last week in Kindergarten, we were honored to have three very special community helper guests visit. Students loved meeting actual helpers from their community. Read on to learn more and enjoy snapshots of these experiences.

A huge "THANK YOU" goes out to Lydia and Jonathan McCrary for visiting us last Thursday to help students learn more about the work of paramedics and firefighters. Students loved learning more about both of these careers and the different gear and tools associated with them. The teddy bear clinic went so well and students loved having the opportunity to pretend they were paramedics!

On Friday, Dr. Aragon (a local orthopedic surgeon and TIMA parent) visited to share with students about being a doctor. As an orthopedic specialist, Dr. Aragon was able to speak specifically to a concern relevant to young children - broken bones. She provided many safety tips while teaching students about the bones in their body and different orthopedic procedures.
