Our next guest speaker for the restaurant project - Matt Shoemaker - has
held almost every job imaginable in the restaurant industry. Mr.
Shoemaker shared about each of these jobs and the basic duties required.
Then he shared a variety of kitchen tools with students and explained
their uses. Students were even able to hold many of the tools. This
experience was an excellent overview of first the restaurant industry
and then the inner-workings of the heart of restaurants - the kitchen.
As an added bonus, Mr. Shoemaker ended the visit by sharing his
delectable homemade rice krispy treats with the students!
